Sunday 8th March

STAFFORD RANGERS STRIPES 0-3 STAFFORD TOWN PANTHERS

STAFFORD RANGERS STRIPES 2-2 TOPPS VILLA

A much better performance saw a dominant Stripes reach an unlucky 2 -2 draw. The players put together passes and saw the results. Aiden Jackson made 2 particularly good saves and the result was not a true reflection of the effort put in by Stripes.

Stafford Rangers Juniors 1-2 Stafford Town Panthers

A closely fought game saw Panthers come out on top after a deflected winning goal for panthers sealing it in the last few minutes. Stafford Rangers Juniors 1-1 Stafford Soccer School

This was a good performance by the Rangers who had lost twice in a row but came out strongly against a strong Soccer School side. Also it helped Soccer School with a great display by the goalie who was basically unbeatable stopping Rangers winning by a long way. Rangers played slick passing and it got rewarded with a Ben Starkey header which the keeper saved and showed off his circus skills by juggling with the ball but then Starkey finished it to end the keepers circus act. The weather was absolutely treacherous and then Soccer scored to share the points for the day and Rangers only going home with 1 point when they should of got 6.

The second half started well for Stafford but Rugeley equalized with a great run and cross followed by a powerful header giving keeper Pat Ravenhall no chance. Thus another draw resulted for the young boro on a day where plenty of chances were not taken.

A mix up at the back saw Panthers take an early lead, however Rangers soon got back in the game when Aiden Moore fired in the equalizer .With only a few minutes remaining of the first half Rangers should have been in front but only the post and solid goalkeeping denied the advantage. The second half was more of the same pressure with Josh Wilson striking the cross bar and the Panthers keeper having to be in top form to deny Rangers the lead .
