U16s Team Information

STAFFORD RANGERS JUNIORS U16s

UNDER 16S INFORMATION

Stafford Rangers Under 16s operate in the Lichfield & District Recreational Leagues Premier Division.

Managed by Steve Hewett, coached by Bob Skelton & Jon Booker.

A large number of this squad has been with the side since they were 6 & 7 years old,[ starting at Steve Skeltons Soccer School ] playing the small-sided version of the game and have had many, many successes in the years that have followed.

A number of players have gone on to the Professional Academys of Stoke City, Port Vale, Wolves & Aston Villa.

A number of Players, Josh Booker, Sam Beech, Sam Jolley, Matt Hewett, Ben Skelton, Will Hollowood, James Butler & Tom Morris have all gone on to represent Stafford & District Schoolboys at Under 15 Level.

Indeed 3 of that Sucessful squad, James Butler, Ben Skelton & Matt Hewett went on to represent Staffordshire County Schoolboys, which is a credit to themselves and everyone connected to the Club.

Other positions are Child Protection Officer Jane Hewett and the treasurer and the secretarial role is carried out by Kath Skelton

Obviously, without the support from parents, clubs would find it virtually impossible to operate, and indeed because of this support , Bonny Fu & Bridgette Jolley were able to do an enormous amount of Fund Raising [ not to mention the hard work ] which enabled everyone to go on our first overseas Tour in 2009 to Holland. A brilliant experience for everyone, particularly the boys.

Thanks must go also to Mick & Jane Butler who supply the lads week in week out with the refreshments.
