Under 17s Summer

Stafford Town Rangers under 16s competed in the prestigious Hawkins Sports sevens tournament in June. High Calibre teams ranging from Hednesford Town to various Birmingham based outfits took part.

Due to holdiay commitments Rangers were down to the bare squad of 9, but to their credit remained unbeaten throughout the whole tournament and in the final defeated Essington 2-1 in extra time.

Rangers are again competing in the Lichfield League in the coming season, having last year won both The League Cup and League Shield and finishing runners up in the league.

Hopefully the team, managed by Mick Hepple and coached by Neil Kirkland will progress into the County Youth league next year a far stronger outfit.
